The inspiration for this design is an old punched tin panel but I combined that with my love of sheep so you can hook a great prim background and a cool sheep who provides wool for our craft. Sheep are so darned interesting and varied! I have a very similar design as a punch needle pattern in my shop listings so please take a look at it for color planning inspiration. This design is great for using outlining but it wouldn't be necessary, if you don't want to. I can see this pattern so many different color ways. I could go light and neutral, bold and old, or dark and drab. Have fun with it.
