Antique Engraving Table Runner Pattern

from $31.00
This pattern is adapted from an engraving from a Civil War sword. Weird, huh? The engraving was so beautiful and different, I had to make my own rendition of it, even if it wasn't as detailed. I love the linear quality and of course, floral elements, in it. It can be hooked so many different ways...I can't wait to hook it! The pattern size is 9x31". I think it would be a great table runner and could be hooked in any seasonal color plan. Symmetry is so appealing and I have to say, I'm usually guilty of not having symmetry in my patterns. It doesn't come naturally to me! Ha!

The color photos are of Julie Wennberg's finished mat, which is just lovely! She added a braided edge, in a braid class this fall. She did an amazing job and it turned out so great! This pattern is drawn on primitive linen foundation.
